Green Plantain Tostones (patacones) Costa Rica

To make green plantain tostones, peel and slice green plantains into 1-inch thick pieces. Fry them in hot oil for about 3-4 minutes until golden, then drain. Flatten the fried slices and fry again for another 2-3 minutes until crispy. Season with salt and serve warm, optionally with dipping sauces. Enjoy!
